- The machine forms a continuous tube or a “flow wrap” of packaging material from a flat roll. This material is typically a heat-sealable plastic film.
- Products to be packaged are fed into the machine in a continuous manner. This can be done manually or automatically, depending on the design and configuration of the machine.
- The machine seals the edges of the film longitudinally, creating a sealed tube around the product.
- The ends of each package are sealed, creating a complete, hermetically sealed package around the product.
